Paint Your Old Furniture
One of our absolute favourite top design tips is to give your old, dated furniture a new lease of life by painting it!
Have fun finding old pieces.
You can find really affordable, vintage furniture on eBay, at flea markets, or even in your grandparents’ attic!
Choose pieces with beautiful details.
These older pieces tend to have stunning craftsmanship, like in the example below…
Treat them to a lick of paint.
It’s such an effortless way to instantly bring the pieces back to life, in a way that ties in seamlessly with your space.
Add some new styling elements.
But, only if needed!
More often than not, the existing handles on these older pieces are in beautiful worn metals, that will add warmth and character to your space.
If this is the case, leave them as they are!
